Post Account Phishing Reply with quote
Some players and myself received by steam community a message error like this :

Admin: AUTOMESSAGE:
This is an automated message generated from www.SteamPowered.com. Your Steam ID has been logged into bytwo or more IP's within the last 48hrs. Please confirm your username and password (username/password) to enable us to continue our services to your account. Failure to comply within one hour will result in a ban being placed upon your account until this matter is resolved.

NEVER ANSWER THIS MESSAGE, SOME1 IS TRYING TO STEAL YOUR ACCOUNT.

As written in the steampowered support website, Steam would never contact some1 by friendlist.

More info at : http://support.steampowered.com/cgi-bin/steampowered.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=301#friends

AND SO NEVER ADD SOME1 IN YOUR FRIEND LIST THAT YOU DON'T KNOW!!!

No, after checking the players i met during play, that Admin played Noobi-Heaven some hours before, but I can't find back his IP.

The new friend community of Steam is nice but allows ppl to see every friends some1 has added in his friendlist and can add them or send them message.

And many ppl ,seeing an Admin wanna add them, fall in the trap.

I think most of you know that there are guys around who try to steal steam accounts and most of you will be smart enough not to answer these requests.
I just received this message:

Security Alert!: This account is currently being accessed at 2 or more locations. Please enter your account name and password in the following format (accountname/password) to verify ownership of the account in question. We at STEAM apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

ExclamationNEVER, NEVER answer this request with your password and accountname includes, someone tries to steal your account!Exclamation

I dont know where to report guys like this, but I got his SteamID page: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197985993312

I found out that this guy was in our steam group #Noobi-Heaven, but I think he got kicked from it, maybe you ae able to report him. Smile
